Ice Cream Talk: Double Feature

Our flavorful Cake Batter Ice Cream combined with a luscious cream cheese swirl and rich gooey butter cake pieces. As delicious as the gooey butter cake made famous in St. Louis!

Speaking honestly, I've never had any St. Louis butter cake. Does this really taste like gooey butter cake? Does it taste like the experience of having a gooey butter cake? I don't know what I've detected the cream cheese swirl, but the cake pieces have a good texture. Not too hard, but with a pleasant toothsomeness. The cake pieces are not too sweet either. Do I know St. Louis gooey butter cake? No. Do I know ice cream I'd buy again? Yes.

    Final verdict: It's ice cream.

A creamy vanilla ice cream loaded with strawberry pastry pieces, colorful confetti sprinkles, and swirls of strawberry sauce and white icing.

The strawberry filling swirls? Dead on. The confetti sprinkles? Delightful. The pastry pieces? I'm not actually sure about and suspect might be the same recipe they use for crust chunks in the blackberry cobbler flavor just broken up finer. I'm not sure I'm detecting the icing, but this is still a real winner of a seasonal flavor in my book.

    Final verdict: It's ice cream.
